HALO Hybrid Fractional Laser Skin Treatments
Halo is the first and only hybrid fractional laser on the market. It combines two separate lasers (Er:YAG and diode lasers) into a single handpiece, and the lasers work together to provide dramatic results with minimal downtime.
In the past, you had to choose between a procedure that offers really great results but a lengthy recovery, or a procedure with a fast recovery but marginal results. Now with Halo you get the best of both worlds: great results with minimal downtime.
Using both Er:YAG and diode lasers, Halo combines deep dermal rejuvenation with epidermal renewal for a combined synergistic effect you cannot get with any other treatment. Halo creates beautiful results without the downtime of more aggressive treatments.
Halo treatments can be tailored to each individual, depending on their individual skin concerns and level of correction needed.
Halo treatments can also be combined with Forever Young BBL treatments to further enhance your results.
- Fine lines to deeper wrinkles
- Skin discoloration
- Enlarged Pores
- Aged or sun-damaged skin
- Poor skin tone and texture
Most skin areas can be treated. Popular treatment areas are the face and neck, though some people also treat the chest and hands. At your consultation, we will discuss your individual concerns and develop a treatment plan suitable for you.
The number of treatments required will be dependent on your individual goals and level of correction needed. Excellent results can be obtained in just one treatment, however the number of treatments needed may vary from patient to patient. Most of those I have treated with Halo were extremely excited after just a single treatment, and plan on maintenance treatments with home skin care regimen and Forever Young BBL treatments.
At the time of consultation, we will take into account your individual needs and goals and together we will personalize a treatment plan specifically for you!
Topical anesthetic will be applied to your face and allowed to take effect for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Your skin will be then be cleaned in the treatment area and your eyes will be protected with safety shields.
Your face will be measured with the laser’s motion tracking technology to ensure your face is treated evenly. The clinician will treat one section of your face at a time by rolling the Halo handpiece in a crisscross pattern until the treatment is complete.
With a topical anesthetic and integrated cooling technology, most patients experience only mild discomfort. Most patients describe the treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations, but are generally comfortable. After the treatment, most patients will continue to feel the heat (described as a bad sunburn) for a short time period (30 minutes to a few hours). You will be given a misting fan as part of your package that most have found very helpful in alleviating the discomfort.
Immediately following the procedure you may experience redness, swelling and a sensation resembling a sunburn. Following your Halo laser treatment, you will be given specific after-care recommendations which include a gentle face wash, frequent application of a moisturizer and sunscreen. In addition, analgesics may be prescribed for post-procedure discomfort.
You can start applying makeup after 24 hours following treatment. Discomfort from the sunburn sensation is generally resolved on the same day as the Halo treatment, persisting for only a few hours. You may return to normal activities after 24 hours. You will see very little change on the first day. After two to three days you will develop a light bronzing appearance. By day
